Call for Papers

General

Authors are invited to submit an abstract (200 words or less) and a 4-page  paper (camera ready, PDF format) related to one of the conference topics. The papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee according to scientific content, suitability for the conference, and form.

The conference will include oral and poster sessions. Oral presentations will be limited to one per author. Please indicate on the submission form whether oral or poster presentation is preferred and the conference topic(s) pertaining to your paper.

The Submission System opens January 11, 2010 and all abstracts and papers must be received by March 30, 2010. Corresponding authors will be notified of their papers' status by April 15, 2010. If requested by reviewers, the final revised versions of the 4-page papers and abstract summaries must be received by April 30, 2010.

Accepted papers will be published electronically on CD. In addition, a printed book of the full proceedings will be available for $100. To ensure availability paper proceedings must be pre-purchased at the time of registration. A book of the 200-word abstracts will be distributed at the conference.

How to Submit a Paper

To be able to submit a manuscript you must have a user account in the IAO Manuscript Submission System. Create your account by going to its create a user account page. (Note! This is not the registration for the conference). Then click on "Not a user? Create an account with this site". Fill in the appeared form. Afterwards, you will be taken to the 4-step manuscript submission process. Please have your paper in PDF format and the information regarding affiliation of all authors, conference topic(s) pertaining to your paper, and oral/poster preference available. During the manuscript upload process you will be asked to provide the 200-word abstract. Copy the abstract from your paper and paste it into the appropriate box.

To revise already submitted abstracts use the link to the presenter page of IAO Manuscript Submission System, and you may revise your manuscripts. You can revise, submit, or delete your paper as many times as you wish up until you press the button Finish Submission on fourt step of the submission process (Confirmation). We strongly recomend you to remember the link to the presenter page in bookmarks of your browser because using it you able to check the state of mauscript(s) submitted by you.

Submission Format

All papers must be in English. The paper must be prepared in double-column format (8 cm or 3.15" per column)  in US letter size format (21.59 cm x 27.94 or 8.5 in x 11 in). The number of pages should not exceed 4. The paper will be reproduced directly from the material submitted by the authors. No copy editing will be made. Set all margins to 2.54 cm (1 in).

The authors must include all text, equations, drawings, figures, and references in the 4-page paper. Tables, photographs, and drawings must appear on the page exactly as they are to be reproduced. Responsibility for the inclusion of good quality figures (black and white or color) resides with each author.  Please note: Color images will appear as submitted in the CD version of the proceedings but will be printed as black and white in the optional printed proceedings. The text should be single spaced using 10 pt Times New Roman font, 10 pt bold for author names and section headings, 10 pt italic for affiliations, 9 pt for figure captions, and 14 pt bold uppercase for  the title. Manuscript pages should not be numbered.

Authors must submit their papers electronically as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. File size should not exceed 5 Mbytes. Please use the provided templates in Word and Tex for complete specifications and preparation instructions of the manuscript. 

The Program Committee may reject papers that do not meet the above guidelines. The committee assumes that all submitted papers have been approved for presentation at this conference by the authors' organizations.
